For reliable service with the least liability, it is recommended for clients to obtain and utilize a key storage lockbox. Clients should purchase one with at least a four-digit code that either easily hangs from a doorknob or railing, or is wall mounted. A key lockbox can be purchased through these links for ease of access for Raven's K9 to 5 to get into your home for dog walking, drop-in visits, house-sitting services. It also eliminates the possibility of your key getting misplaced or stolen. Once received, lockboxes are to be programmed with a unique four-digit code and placed on the main door handle/wall to your home. You are then required to enter your lockbox code and location information under Time To Pet > My Address > Garage/Lockbox/Door Code.
You may also elect to provide a code for entry via garage door or electronic keypad. In this case, you are responsible for entering all necessary codes in Time To Pet.
Regardless, a lockbox is not required to be purchased but it is best to do so as to avoid situations, where power might go out and/or hidden keys, are not found, etc. Lockboxes guarantee that Raven's K9 to 5 is able to access your pets at all times during our scheduled services. You can also choose which one you would like to buy to best suit your needs or match your home. There are several options to choose from.

What if my situation will not allow for a key storage lockbox?
Exceptions can be made for those who reside in apartments and condos. If your situation will not allow for a key storage lockbox for any reason, please just note it in your Time to Pet profile.
How much does a key storage lock box cost?
The average cost is approximately $15 to $90.
Where should the key storage lockbox be placed?
Lockboxes should be in a location that will be easily accessible by you and your pet sitter. We recommend an inconspicuous spot on your property like a fence or railing; just let us know where it will be located and what combination code to use on your client account. Door handles, railings, etc work as well.
What if I use combination access via our garage door code and we don’t use keys?
We prefer to have multiple ways to enter but even if we have access to your home by an electronic keypad, keys are still recommended to be on the property for immediate access in case of a power outage or drained batteries, which can cause keypads to malfunction. Purchasing a key storage lockbox gives you and your pet sitter the best secure access in case of an emergency.
How will my Pet Sitter open the key storage lockbox?
Instructions will be included with your new lockbox on how to set your own unique passcode. Then your combination and location of the lockbox need to be entered in your Time To Pet Client Account in “Time To Pet > My Address > Garage/Lockbox/Door Code”, which stays private and secure between you, and us. It is preferred to have the lockbox purchased and code information entered before the first day of service. Refunds will not be given for the inability to perform services due to not having access. You can change the code on your lockbox at any time, just be sure to update your client account with the new code before the next visit. Please verify that the code works every time you change it.
Who will know the combination of my key storage lockbox?
Your code is securely saved in your Time To Pet Account. Only Raven's K9 to 5 and you have access to the information in your profile. All client combination codes will be saved within our secure software.
